About Sarah
Sarah has been a professional in the riding disciplines of hunter/jumper/equitation and dressage for 35 plus years. While growing up in Northern California, Sarah had many learning experiences with some excellent horseman and horsewomen for whom she has great respect and gratitude.
During her early professional years while training hunters, jumpers, dressage horses and schooling riders for the show ring, Sarah was introduced to what is often called “natural horsemanship” by her dressage teacher and friend Terry Church, who had worked with Tom Dorrance for several years. With this influence, Sarah began to specialize in rehabilitating horses from the race track as well as hunters, jumpers, and dressage horses who were having difficulty fitting into traditional training scenarios.. |
Sarah also starts the young ones under saddle, gives green horses a solid foundation, and works with our troubled horses too. She uses a thoughtful combination of ground work and under saddle exercises to effectively dissolve the issues that can be getting in the way of our horses’ progress.
And Sarah says, more importantly, she has learned that it is our way of being that effects the spirit of the horse and makes so many wonderful things possible with our beloved equines. |
